The program is very easy to install and can run on most versions of Windows without problems. It takes up about 10 MB of hard disk space.

The interface of FileLocator Pro seems a bit crowded because of the large number of options, but in fact it's very simple to use. If you can remember how that document was called, you could type its name in FileLocator Pro and it will swiftly locate it for you. You need not sweat if you cannot remember the document’s name. FileLocator Pro has a powerful feature that allows it to search within documents, archives and so on. As long as you can remember what that document was about, you can find it. Let’s assume the Word document is about software applications – in the “Containing text” area, type “software applications” and FileLocator Pro will search through all the files on your computer that contain the text “software applications.”

Pros:
It includes a preview function, for quickly displaying a found file, allowing the user to see if it's what he was looking for. Besides that, search results can be exported or printed, for future analysis. Furthermore, the program can look for certain text inside documents.

Cons:
The large number of options may be confusing for some users.
